Follow these steps on your phone — it takes about a minute.
⬇️ Download the app (.apk)Use the blue button above, in your phone's browser. The .apk file (~60–90 MB) starts downloading. If your browser asks “Download anyway?”, choose Download / OK.
When it finishes, tap the download notification, or open Files / My Files → Downloads and tap logmykms.apk.
Android protects you by blocking apps from outside the Play Store by default. The first time, you'll see a prompt — this is normal:
Confirm Install, then Open when it's done. The 🚗 LogMyKms icon also appears in your app drawer.
Open the app and log in with your LogMyKms account. When you record your first trip, grant location:
Go to Settings → Apps → Special app access → Install unknown apps, pick the browser you downloaded with, and turn on Allow from this source. Then reopen the .apk from Downloads.
Tap More details → Install anyway. (Play Protect flags any app not from the Play Store — LogMyKms is safe; this goes away once we're on the Play Store.)
Make sure the download finished fully (the file should be tens of MB, not a few KB). Delete the partial file and download again. If an old copy of LogMyKms is installed, uninstall it first, then retry.
Open your Files / My Files app → Downloads, or pull down the notification shade and tap the completed download.
Create one free on the web, complete the quick setup, then log in here.
📱 Coming to the Google Play Store soon (one-tap install) — and an iPhone version is on the way.
